Getting started

Logging in

Getting in with a magic link or an invite, and where each role lands afterwards.

There are two ways into WorkCore: the sign-in page at /login, for an account that already exists, and the invite link a property manager emails to a new person. Both end with you on the home page for your role.

At a glance

Where/login to sign in, /auth/accept for the link in an invite email
WhoEveryone — residents, superintendents, property managers, leasing staff
What you can doSend yourself a sign-in link, accept an invite, sign out
What you cannot do yetCreate your own account, or type a sign-in code into the product

Before you start

WorkCore is invite-only, and signing in never creates an account. If your address has not been invited, no email will arrive: the page may simply say the link was sent, or it may report that the link could not be sent. Either way, ask your property manager to invite you first.

  1. Open /login. The heading reads Sign in, over "Use your work email to get a secure sign-in link."
  2. Type your work address in Email and press Send magic link.
  3. The page changes to Check your email and waits, showing Waiting for you to open the link… Leave the tab open.
  4. Open the link in the email. The waiting tab continues on its own within a couple of seconds and takes you to your home page.
  5. If you opened the link on a different device, that device says "You're signed in. Return to your original WorkCore tab to continue." — and it means it, because that page has no button. Go back to the tab you started in; it has already moved on.

No email after a minute: press Resend. Wrong address: press Start over.

Some WorkCore deployments also allow email and password, shown as a Use password instead. link under the email field. It is switched on for a whole deployment, not for one property, so everyone signing in to the same site sees the same thing. If that link is missing, the magic link is your only way in.

Not in the product

There is no code to type. WorkCore has no code-entry screen anywhere in sign-in — opening the link in the email is what signs you in.

Accept an invite

Open the link in the invite email and press Accept invite; you land on your home page. Opening the page does not use the link up — only the button does — so you can open the email, close it and come back.

If the page says This invite link is incomplete, your email app truncated the link. Copy the whole address out of the email, or ask for a new invite.

Where each role lands

RoleLands on
Resident/resident/chat, or /resident/consent until the AI consent decision is recorded
Superintendent/super/assignments
Property manager, admin, organization owner/operator/dashboard
Leasing staff/operator/leasing

Each portal is closed to the other roles, and there is no polite "you don't have access" screen. A signed-in property manager who opens a /resident/... link is sent to the sign-in page and bounced straight back to /operator/dashboard. Nothing is broken; the link was not meant for their role.

Not in the product

Residents cannot sign themselves up. There is no registration page — the addresses that once served one now send you to /login. Every account starts from an invite.

  • Consent — the first screen a resident meets after signing in.
