Queue

The work-order queue at /super/assignments — what it holds, and how to filter it.

/super/assignments is where a superintendent starts: the work orders you can act on, the tiles that filter them, and the row you tap to open a job. It is also the only item in the sidebar — everything else on the super side hangs off a row in this list.

What the list holds

The heading reads Assignments, and under it Work orders assigned to you · Today. Read that as a label, not a promise. The page applies no filter of its own, neither by assignee nor by date: it shows every work order WorkCore has for your account. Not just the ones assigned to you, and not just today's — a job from last week belongs here, and so may a job another super is handling. Check the Resident and Location facts on a row before you act on it.

The list loads 50 rows at a time and follows up to 10 pages, so up to 500 work orders. It refreshes in the background and again whenever you come back to the tab.

What a row tells you

Part of the rowWhat it shows
TitleThe unit and the category, as Unit 101 · Plumbing
ReferenceThe work-order number, for example WO-41 — quote it to your manager
Blue dotBeside the reference: something on this job is new since you last opened it
ScheduledThe booked visit, or Not scheduled when nothing is booked yet
PriorityUrgent in red, or Non-urgent
StatusOpen (amber), In progress (blue) or Closed (grey)

Those three status words cover everything: a job that has been completed, closed or cancelled all read as Closed here. On desktop the same fields are laid out as a table with the column headers Work order, Scheduled, Priority and Status; on a phone they stack as cards.

In progress covers two different things: a booked visit, and a dispatch still waiting on your manager's approval. The row cannot tell them apart, so do not read it as proof that a dispatch went through. Open the job and look for the blue Scheduled contractor block instead.

Filter the list

  1. Tap one of the status tiles — All, Open, In progress or Closed. Each carries its own count.
  2. On a laptop, use the three menus beside the result count: Sort:, Priority: and Category:. On a phone, use Sort: plus the Filter button, which carries a badge with the number of filters you have set.
  3. The phone sheet is headed Filter assignments, groups Priority and Category, and closes on Show N assignments. Clear filters resets it.

Sort offers Newest, Oldest, Scheduled (soonest) and Priority (urgent first). Newest and Oldest order by the number in the work-order reference rather than by a date, which usually — but not always — matches the order jobs arrived. Category options are built from whatever is in your list, so a category you never see is simply not offered.

Every choice is written into the page address, so a filtered queue can be bookmarked or sent to someone with the same access. The search box in the top bar, Search assignments or work orders, searches work orders only and opens the one you pick.

Not shipped yet

Pull-to-refresh does not exist, even though the empty-state message invites it. The list refreshes on its own in the background and when you return to the tab; to force it, reload the page.

Not in the product

There is no FYI flag and no critical priority. An older plan gave critical jobs a badge on the card; the product has exactly two priorities, Urgent and Non-urgent, and no badge beyond them.
