Photos

The three places photos appear on a job, their limits, and which ones an AI model sees.

Photos reach a job three ways: the resident sends them when they report the problem, you send them to the assistant while you work, and you add them to the completion form at the end. The limits differ, and so does who — and what — ever looks at them.

Where photos show up

The Photos card near the bottom of a work order holds everything attached to the job. The resident's report photos come first, with a caption below the tiles naming how many there are — or No photos from the resident when they sent none. Once you submit a completion, your photos join them under a Completion heading with its own count. Tap any tile to open it full-size; the viewer is read-only, so there is nothing to delete or replace there.

The completion form's own footnote says it plainly: Up to 5 photos · stored with the completion record only.

Rules and limits

WhereLimitWhat happens at the limit
Assistant message5 per message, 10 per work orderThe extras are dropped with no warning — count before you send
Completion form5 per completion, one per slotThe form tells you: 2 photos not added — 5 is the limit.

The assistant's composer counts up as you attach, showing 3/5 at the right-hand end of the thumbnail row, and repeats Up to 5 photos per message · 10 per work order underneath after you send.

Only the assistant has a camera button, and only on a phone: its + menu offers Take photo, which opens the camera, and Add photo for a file you already have. On a laptop the same menu offers Upload image and nothing else. The completion form has no camera button at all — its empty slots open your device's own picker, which on a phone can usually reach the camera from there.

What the assistant sees

This is worth being exact about, because the three sets of photos are treated differently.

  • Photos you attach to a completion are never sent to any AI model. They are stored with the completion record for people to look at — your property manager, an inspector, you in six months. Nothing else reads them. The assistant says so itself when it hands you the form: Completion photos are added in the form — they never go through AI.
  • Photos you send in the assistant go to the assistant. That is the point of sending them — you are asking it about what is in the picture.
  • Photos a resident sends in their chat go to the assistant too, as part of the conversation that raised the work order. Those are the pictures it may already know about when you ask it what is wrong in a unit.

So: if you would not put an image in front of a model, put it on the completion form rather than in the chat.
