Settings

Property details and the thresholds that route work to a human.

Your property's details and the operational rules WorkCore applies to it — most importantly the cost at which a contractor dispatch stops and waits for your approval. One page with sections in the left rail, not separate pages.

What you see

General and Operational are in the rail under WORKSPACE; Agents appears there too for owners and organization admins. Below them the rail holds Units under PROPERTY, and Team, Residents and — when it is turned on — Contractors under PEOPLE.

SectionFields
GeneralProperty name, Property contact email (the address residents are given for the building) and Organization contact email (where WorkCore sends billing and system notices for the whole organization)
OperationalNotice of entry, Job retention and Approval cost threshold
AgentsThree agent cards that look editable but save nothing — see the marker at the end of this section

Who may edit what:

  • An owner can change all four fields.
  • An organization admin can change the organization contact email and the notice of entry.
  • A property manager can change the property name and contact email, the notice of entry and the approval cost threshold.

General opens with a line telling you which of its fields are yours to edit; the ones that are not are simply greyed out. In Operational the note beside Approval cost threshold says who may change it, and Job retention is marked organization-wide and stays locked for everyone.

General and Operational each have a footer with Cancel and Save changes. The button stays disabled until you change something, only the fields you actually changed are written, and a Saved tick appears when the write lands.

The Agents section saves nothing. Its switches, tool chips and system-prompt box are a preview: there is no save control on the section, and nothing you change there reaches the assistants. The confirmation dialog that appears when you switch an agent off warns that conversations will end and people will lose AI assistance — that does not happen either. Property managers do not see the section at all. To change how an assistant behaves today, talk to your WorkCore contact.

Set the approval cost threshold

This is the number that decides how much autonomy the superintendent and the assistant have.

  1. Open Operational in the rail.
  2. Find Approval cost threshold: Work-order cost at or above which PM approval is required · whole CAD dollars.
  3. Enter a whole number of Canadian dollars, from 0 to 100,000. There are no cents.
  4. Press Save changes.

What it does: a contractor dispatch estimated above the threshold does not run. It stops, becomes a request in Approvals, and the work order waits with the superintendent until you decide. A dispatch at or below the threshold goes ahead on its own and you are not asked — the field's own helper text reads at or above, but a dispatch costing exactly the threshold dispatches outright. Setting it to 0 sends every dispatch above zero to you.

Until you set a value of your own, the field carries the badge Inherited from organization and uses your organization's default. Saving a number here overrides that default for this property only. WorkCore's demo data uses $200; your organization's own default is held at the organization level and cannot be changed from this page.

Rules and limits

FieldUnitRangeNotes
Notice of entryHours0 to 168How much warning a resident gets before someone enters the unit
Approval cost thresholdWhole CAD dollars0 to 100,000Owner and property managers only. Organization admins see it locked: only the owner and property managers can change the approval ceiling.
Job retentionDays—How long completed work orders are kept. Set for the whole organization, and always read-only here

Clearing the Property contact email removes it rather than saving an empty address.

Two controls on this page do nothing. The Retry button on a settings error message is inert — reload the page instead. So is the search box in the workspace settings top bar; use the section rail to get around.
