Team
Inviting staff, and removing a member from the organization.
The staff who work on your property: superintendents, property managers, admins and the owner. From here you invite someone, chase an invitation that never arrived, and remove someone who has left.
At a glance
| Where | /operator/team, from the workspace settings rail or the user menu |
| Who | Owner, organization admin and property manager. What you may do depends on which of those you are |
| What you can do | Invite member, Resend invitation email, and Remove from organization |
| What you cannot do yet | Change a member's role, or suspend them. A role is shown on their card but is not editable |
Not in the product
There is no way to change someone's role, and no suspend control. Older access documents describe both; neither exists in the console. To move someone to a different role, remove them and invite them again under the role you want.
Invite a member
- Press Invite member. The dialog says: They'll receive an email with a link to set up their account.
- Fill in Email. It is the only required field, and a blank one is answered with Enter an email address. Full name and Phone are optional — Phone is kept on the member's staff profile — and Role comes pre-selected from the roles you are allowed to invite.
- Press Send invite. On success you get Invite sent — the person has been added and emailed a link to set up their account.
- They appear in the list as Invited until they sign in for the first time.
Which roles you are offered depends on your own:
| You are | You can invite |
|---|---|
| Owner | Organization admin, Property manager, Superintendent |
| Organization admin or property manager | Superintendent only |
A property has one superintendent at a time, so Superintendent disappears from the picker while one is in post. For a property manager or an organization admin that leaves nothing to offer, and the dialog says so: No roles available to invite. Remove the current superintendent first, or ask the owner to invite.
Not shipped yet
Leasing staff cannot be invited. The role still exists and people who already hold it keep it and keep their access, but it is withheld from every invite picker while its scope is settled.
Chase or remove a member
- Resend invitation email appears on a member who has not signed in yet, when your own role could have invited them in the first place: …hasn't signed in yet. They can sign in with their email any time — or resend the invitation if it never arrived.
- Remove from organization is in the Danger zone on the member's card: Removing
{name}revokes their access immediately. Open work orders stay on the property and can be reassigned. You confirm with Remove member, and the change is recorded in the audit log.
Who you may remove also depends on your role:
| You are | You may remove |
|---|---|
| Owner | Anyone except yourself and the organization owner |
| Property manager | Superintendents and leasing staff only, and not yourself |
| Organization admin | Nobody. The Danger zone does not appear for you |
What you see
The left rail has a search box (Search team members), a count line, and one row per member with their initials, their name — yours is marked (you) — their email or No email on file, and a role chip: Owner, Organization Admin, Property Manager, Super or Leasing Staff.
The detail pane shows Membership: Role, Phone, Status, Access (Whole organization or This property) and Joined. Status is Active, Invited or No active membership.
If something looks wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Member added — …has been added to the organization, but the invite email could not be delivered. They can't sign in until it's resent. | The account exists; only the email failed | Open their row and use Resend invitation email |
| That person is already an active member of this organization. | They are already on the team | Close the dialog and find them in the list |
| No roles available to invite | You can only invite superintendents, and the post is already taken | Remove the current superintendent first, or ask the owner to invite |
| This organization has no property yet, so there is nothing to invite into. | No property is set up | Set the property up before inviting staff |
| No Danger zone on a member's card | Your role cannot remove that person | Ask the owner |
