Units

The property's unit list, and adding a unit.

The list of units at your property, who lives in each one, and whether it is occupied. Units come first: a resident is onboarded into a unit, so a unit that does not exist here cannot be given a resident.

At a glance

Where/operator/units, under PROPERTY in the workspace settings rail
WhoOwner, organization admin and property manager
What you can doRead and search the unit list, and add a unit with Add unit
What you cannot do yetEdit or remove a unit, or change its occupancy by hand

What you see

A count line, a search box (Search units, residents, or properties) and a table with the columns Unit, Property, Status, Beds, Baths, Sq ft and Resident.

Status is worked out for you, not typed in. A unit reads Occupied when it has an active lease with no end date, or one that ends in the future, or when the unit's own record already says it is occupied. Otherwise it reads Vacant. To change what it says, add or end a lease on the resident's record rather than looking for a control here.

Add a unit

  1. Press Add unit, top right. The dialog explains itself: Creates a unit at your property. Units can't be edited or removed afterwards yet — check the number before saving.
  2. Fill in Unit number. It is the only required field.
  3. The Property is stated, not chosen — a workspace covers one property.
  4. Beds (optional), Baths (optional) and Sq ft (optional) are for your own reference.
  5. Press Add unit. The dialog cannot be closed by pressing Escape or clicking outside it, so finish or press Cancel.
